I was affiliated with Sundance Stage Lines from 1988 to 1990, and again from 1996 until my retirement in 2004, as travel coordinator for Culture Caravan, the tour division of the Parks & Recreation Department of the City of Vista, California. In the intervening years, I have often been a passenger on trips that are scheduled on Sundance motorcoaches.
It has been my pleasure to travel all over the Southwest, on one-day and multi-day tours, with the excellent drivers of Sundance. In addition to being professional drivers, they are most often knowledgeable about the places we visit and share that information with passengers, making a tour that much more interesting.
Of additional importance is their attitude toward those passengers. As in the case of Culture Caravan, travelers are most often senior citizens, and some have ongoing physical difficulties or other situations that make them apprehensive. Sundance drivers are always at the door of the motorcoach to assist with boarding and embarking, and their friendly and helpful attitude, often coupled with the telling of funny stories, puts everyone at ease.
I cannot admire these drivers enough, having seen them in action on the road hundreds of times with the responsibility of the safety of up to 44 people on board.
The office staff is in the same category of excellence. During the time I was responsible for the tour group of the City of Vista, there was total efficiency with the scheduling and confirmation of all motorcoaches, and any questions drew a prompt response. Their costs have always been competitive with other coach lines, most of which do not offer nearly the same level of service
It is of importance as well that Sundance Stage Lines has its own maintenance yard and a safety record that would be the envy of any company.
I would never hesitate to recommend Sundance Stage Lines to anyone.
